CEILINGS

CID LAY IN SUSPENDED CEILING

Suspended ceilings provide a relatively inexpensive and functional way to improve your workplace. They conceal unsightly services, improve sound absorption and add insulation. Access above the ceilings is as simple as removing a tile. At CID we offer ceiling tiles and grid systems from all the leading global manufacturers including Ecophon, Armstrong and USG. Our expertise enables us to select the best product for your specific project be it a moisture resistant tile in wet areas, an impact resistant tile in a school hall or a sound absorbent tile in a noisy office.

CID PLASTERBOARD CEILING

Despite their functionality, exposed grid suspended ceilings are not to everyone’s taste. Therefore at CID we also provide concealed grid plasterboard ceilings.  MF (Metal Frame) is a fully concealed grid ceiling system used in conjunction with tape jointed or skimmed plasterboards to create a seamless, monolithic appearance. Our Design Team is adept at combining the plasterboard and exposed grid ceilings to create interesting features whilst retaining a degree of accessibility to the void above. Alternatively we provide a full range of access panels which can be incorporated into the plasterboard ceiling.

BULKHEADS & UPSTANDS

Using the MF (Metal Frame) system and plasterboard we are able to create bulkheads and up-stands as required. These may be purely functional, for example where the exposed edges of a mezzanine floor need to be fire protected or the windows extend above the ceiling line, or they may be decorative, with inset feature lighting above a reception desk.

SOUND BAFFLES & FIRE BARRIERS

Whilst the appearance and performance of a false ceiling may be important, at CID we recognise the importance of what is taking place in the ceiling void. To meet with regulations it is vital to incorporate fire breaks at certain intervals and there is no point in building a “sound proof” partition wall if the area above the ceiling is open allowing sound to travel from room to room via the light fittings or air conditioning ducts. At CID we take care of the whole ceiling project and can advise on fire barriers and sound baffles to suit every project.
