CID’s prime intention is to provide cost effective, quality interior design & build solutions to the commercial and educational sectors throughout London and the South East.
Using our combined years of experience and industry expertise we bring together a wide range of tried and tested products and services to ensure your project runs smoothly, with minimal disruption to your business
We have worked with many prestigious customers in numerous industry sectors including utilities, pharmaceutical, manufacturing and educational but are equally happy to work with SME’s.
Our aim is simple – to provide each and every client with a service that we can be proud of and a project that exceeds their expectations.
How do we achieve this? By following our 6 Step plan as follows:
Our team includes talented designers, experienced site supervisors and project managers, all dedicated to ensuring that your fit-out or refurbishment project runs smoothly and exceeds your expectations in every way.
We partner tried and tested suppliers with whom we have worked for many years and whose level of service matches our own.
The most important member of our team is you, our client and we work with you and your team to deliver the fit out or refurbishment of your building to your total satisfaction.
Contact us by telephone (01306 885099), by e mail (firstname.lastname@example.org) or simply fill in the contact form on our website and we will arrange to carry out a FREE consultation to discuss your project with you. We will survey the space, take on board your thoughts and ideas and offer our advice where appropriate…
This information will be passed promptly to our design team who will produce a scaled floorplan using the latest CAD technology and a fully priced and specified proposal, all free of charge. If your project is in the embryonic stage or you are considering relocating to a new building but have not yet made a final decision we can also provide budget costs to help you decide. Ideally we like to present our ideas to you so that you fully understand what we are providing but if time is of the essence we can e mail the drawing and proposal to you, within a few days.
If your project has complex design content we can also provide computer generated visuals and mood boards so that you can fully understand our concepts. We can also arrange a meeting with one of our design team, either at your premises or ours to hold a “brain storming” session, all designed to ensure that you are completely satisfied with our designs and layouts. There would be a small charge for the visuals and mood boards but this is fully refundable against any order placed.
Once you are completely happy with the layout, the design and the price we will begin the process of implementing your project. Our project management team will provide you with a programme of work and a project manager will be appointed as a single point of contact. We will issue working drawings for your approval and will work closely with you to understand your requirements in terms of time-scales, phasing and dead-lines. In fact, we will do everything we can to ensure that your project runs smoothly with minimal disruption to your business.
We will provide you with a Site Supervisor who will make sure that everything is going to plan on site and who will answer any day to day queries you may have. A weekly site meeting will be arranged so that we can keep you up to date with progress and ensure that you are happy with the on-going work.
Upon completion we will arrange a hand over meeting and whilst we aim for “zero snagging” this will be your opportunity to check that everything has been done to your expectations. We will also arrange training for your staff for any new systems (heating, data, fire alarm, air conditioning etc) and will give you an O&M (operation and maintenance) manual detailing the works we have carried out and including any relevant warranties and certification.
All of our work and products carry a minimum twelve month warranty and we can provide maintenance contracts beyond this period if required.
The health and safety of our site operatives and your staff is paramount and we are extremely proud of our Health & Safety record. We will prepare a pre-start Health and Safety plan for all projects, which we will implement at all times. This will incorporate any H&S procedures you already have in place and will hi-light any processes which carry a particular risk. We will provide you with a full set of RAMS (risk assessments and method statements) and will request that you provide us with an asbestos report if the building was constructed before the year 2000.
Certain projects fall within CDM (Construction, Design & Management) regulations 2015. If so we will appoint a CDM Co-Ordinator who will make sure that the contract is carried out in accordance with the regulations and all legal liabilities are met. Valuable information concerning CDM can be found on the HSE website or we would be delighted to answer any questions you have.
As well as Health & Safety, many fit out or construction projects need some form of statutory approval and may need to comply with current guide-lines. These may include:
We will work with you to help you understand your obligations and employ whatever resources are needed to ensure that these obligations are met.
We also work with Structural Engineers to make sure that any demolition/small building works we carry out within your building are safe and professionally executed.
Our commitment to professionalism and safety gives you complete peace of mind at every stage of your project. Any fees incurred in obtaining the approvals listed above are charged to our clients at cost.
Our business is centered around creating amazing workplaces and transforming the interiors of buildings but that doesn’t mean that we don’t appreciate our countryside, woodland and open spaces. We are committed to ensuring that our children, grand-children and future generations will enjoy their environment as much as we do. Therefore all of our projects and designs use materials from sustainable sources and for us, re-cycling is a way of life. Our M&E installations are designed to be as Eco-friendly as possible saving not only energy, but also reducing costs.
We work with our suppliers and manufacturers to reduce packaging and only work with companies whose ethos matches our own in terms of products from sustainable sources. We recycle wherever we can (donating barely-used furniture, for example, to schools and charities) and our waste transfer partners recycle approximately 80% of the materials they clear from our sites.
We think our planet is beautiful and we will do our bit to keep it that way. For more information see our Environmental Policy
